Job Summary
Proximity is looking for talented QA Automation Engineer to join us, working directly with a successful US company in the Marketing Management Solutions industry.
The QA Automation Engineer will be primarily responsible for creating and automating test scenarios and identifying/reporting defects for Marketing Management solutions specialized in Mobile applications data capture, machine learning, and business intelligence.
The position requires to follow Agile Framework practices and procedures. Each QA member is embedded within the team working side-by-side with other members of the Scrum team. This position requires a highly motivated individual comfortable with a fast-paced dynamic environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Develop effective, reusable and maintainable automated functional test framework and test scripts to achieve maximum code coverage in a fast-paced agile environment.
- Ensure that all automation scripts function properly across all supported browsers.
- Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using Java, Phyton or Node JS and analyze the automation test results.
- Collaborate with your scrum team to determine the best methods to use to test the acceptance criteria in sprint stories (Unit Test, API, UI, Performance, Load, Stress, etc).
- Participate in production deployments to validate quality and success of the release Monitor issues that arise during testing cycles and mitigate/escalate issues as necessary.
- Perform manual testing of test cases on a as-needed basis.
Qualifications and Skills:
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 5+ years’ experience using various automated testing tools and methods.
- Experience in the writing, executing, and maintenance of automated test using Automated Testing Frameworks like:
- Appium
- Cloud Device Farm
- Selenium Web Driver
- Previous experience writing automated test scripts using Java, Phyton or Node JS
- Experience automating test cases for both native iOS and Android applications
- Unit testing with familiarity with test-driven development
- Understanding of browser-side JavaScript code.
- Experience working in a continuous integration or continuous delivery environment using Jenkins, Heroku or equivalent tools.
- Strong experience working in an Agile software development environment – e.g. Scrum.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
