Research Librarian Estudio Echecopar Asociado a Baker and Mckenzie International – San Borja , Lima

Responsibilities:

Service Orientation

• Maintain and build strong relationships with Partners and Lawyers in Colombia and Peru, the Regional I&R Lead, regional Specialist functions (Information Product Lead/Manager and Research Lead/Manager), Regional Director of Knowledge, Knowledge Lawyers and with external suppliers for local information resources
• Demonstrate value through effective communication with stakeholders and key relationships

Knowledge & Expertise

• Understand and promote the role and functionality of the Firm's research, content and information repositories and resources
• Manage the procurement of local information resources in alignment with Information Product Management policies and in consultation with the Information Product Management Lead/Regional Manager Manages the relationship with local external information vendors
• Demonstrate ongoing learning and professional accountability that cultivates communication and collaboration, fostering immediate and long-term goals
• Deliver the Colombia/Peru information resources training plan, linked to GPG/GIG information and research strategy, and working with the Research Specialist function and Service Centers to provide full information and KM resource training support. Develop, deliver, and assess learning opportunities that prepare trainees, lawyers, and others for workplace excellence
• Ensure and facilitate timely access to relevant legal information and research resources to support lawyers providing advice to clients
• Manage and coordinate the referral of local enquiries to the appropriate Service Center and then respond to enquiries requiring in-market expertise for research, information or initial current awareness set-up as applicable
• Working with the Regional Information & Research Manager and Research Lead/Business Research Manager, liaise with internal clients to learn about their business focus and information needs
• Apply industry thinking, initiative and experience when providing information and research

• Collaborative, supportive, team player working with other in-market Librarians and the wider Information & Research and Knowledge communities

Work Management

• Support and participate in the adoption and use of Knowledge and I&R systems
• Participate in and lead projects as requested
• Be aware of and participate in Firm's goals. Participate in setting and aligning Library team goals with PG goals, managing resources, and evaluating use. Report on usage and space management

• Relevant undergraduate degree
• Good relevant experience with strong experience of Knowledge, information and research in professional services environment
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, build strong relationship virtually, communicate effectively, comfortable working in large, complex environment, highly credible and persuasive
• Strong people management and organizational skills; ability to prioritise and manage people's time to meet deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to drive results and sense of urgency in setting strategies and executing against the objectives
• Proven ability to influence, interact and consult with senior leaders, strong collaboration skills and effective stakeholder management
• Strong communication skills, and highly credible presentation skills
• Comprehension of a diverse set of knowledge and information resources
