Senior Oracle Developer

Proximity is looking for Senior Oracle PL/SQL developers to join us, working directly with a successful US company in the Road Safety Industry.
You will be working with challenging projects, interacting with seasoned senior engineers. As part of a high performance and mature Scrum Team, you will be responsible for participating in all team ceremonies and committing to a team-first attitude.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Develop complex database processes with PL/SQL.
Develop and enhance existing procedures.
Requirements gathering, design, development, testing and, documentation
Leverage Oracle 11g features to their fullest.
Support team members, database developers, for requirements analysts, in understanding data and meeting user requirements.
Participate in performance tuning activities.
Provide production deployment and production support as needed.
Involved in all aspects of the software development life cycle; – and demonstrate abilities to learn both the business processes as well as new and existing technologies in a dynamic Agile team.
Required Skills/Abilities:
4+ years of experience in designing, creating and developing Oracle database systems
Strong programming/development skills using Oracle PL/SQL (packages, procedures, functions, triggers, materialized views).
Strong SQL development, SQL analytics and, tuning skills
Excellent analytic, troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
Detail oriented with strong problem-solving skills and be proactive in their daily tasks.
Experience working with development tools like Oracle SQL Developer, PL/SQL Developer.
Experience working with source control management tools as GIT and Subversion.
Strong communications skills (both verbal & written) in English.
Desirable skills:
Experience working with Oracle Advanced Queueing (AQ).
Experience working with reporting tools like Crystal Reports XI.
Experience working with test-driven development approach.

Please note this is not a database administrator position is to become part of Backend team.
