Job Summary
Proximity Costa Rica is looking for a talented and passionate mid to senior mobile software developer who is capable in working within a team of other talented individuals. We want someone who enjoys collaborating and helping others.
In this role you’ll be expected to write code, communicate with your fellow team members, raise concerns, and be a team player. You’ll typically work with other developers, designers, a product manager, and QA. Your focus technology will be mobile using primarily Xamarin and Xamarin.Forms.
Our team practices SCRUM, so you’ll join standups daily and sprint planning once a week. You’ll be provided with stories to work through, you will also collaborate with architecture altogether with senior developers on our team.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Be excited about collaboration with your fellow developers, designers, and product managers.
- Design classes, interfaces, data structures and algorithms that are efficient, modular, reusable, testable and maintainable and follow good software design practices.
- Write mobile applications for iOS and Android using Xamarin and Xamarin.Forms.
- Understand the intricacies of mobile development.
- Take responsibility for the quality of all written code, ensuring that it is clear, concise, well structured, efficient and well documented with code comments.
- Contribute to the User Stories development process, assist with acceptance criteria definition and ask clarifying questions.
Qualifications and Skills
- At least 4+ years of experience with knowledge of software development in:
- Xamarin
- Xamarin.Forms
- Android
- iOS
- .NET Core
- T-SQL
- Unit Test
- Experience designing technical architectures and coding standards for Mobile applications.
- Experience developing using Service-Oriented Architecture and XML.
- Experience with responsive UI design and adaptive UI design.
- Strong problem solving and debugging skills, both as an individual and as part of a team.
- Experience with agile software development frameworks, such as Scrum.
- Excellent English and Spanish communication skills, both written and spoken.
